How do I change my particulars?


There are four types of particulars you may change in Huobi, there are:

  • How do I change my password?
  • How do I change my email address?
  • How do I change phone number?
  • How do I change my nationality?
How do I change my password? You may change your login password by logging on to your account via https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 1) Go to https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 2) Click “Account Icon” for a drop-down menu, select “Account & Security” Step 3) Click ‘Change’ to change your password Step 4) Complete 1, 2 & 3 and click ‘Change’ to change your password. Important note: Withdrawals will be disabled for 24 hours once password is changed. How do I change my email address? To change the registered email address, you are required to write in to our support at support@ibankex.io with the following:
  1. a selfie with handheld passport/ID
  2. active mobile number
How do I change phone number? You may change your linked phone number by logging on to your account via https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 1) Go to https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 2) Click “Account Icon” for a drop-down menu, select “Account & Security” Step 3) Click ‘Change’ to change your linked phone number Step 4) Three simple steps to change your linked phone number. Select the correct country code followed by inserting your new phone number in the empty field. To generate the security code for SMS, you are required to click the “Click to Send” button. Once you have completed the security authentication, click "Link" to proceed. Important note: After changing linked phone, you are not allowed to make withdrawals for the next 24 hours. How do I change my nationality? To change the registered nationality, you are required to write in to our support at support@ibankex.io with the following:
  1. a selfie with handheld passport/ID
  2. active mobile number




How to apply for API Trading? How to create an API Key?


You may create your API key simply by logging on to your account via https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 1) Go to https://www.ibankex.io/ Step 2) Click “Account Icon” for a drop-down menu, select “API Management” Step 3) Each user is only allowed to create up to 5 API Keys. For security reasons, we recommend that each API Key should bind up to a maximum of four (4) IP addresses per key. If there is only one IP address, you can enter it directly. If there are more than one IP addresses, you should separate them with halfwidth comma (e.g. 192.168.1.1,192.168.1.2,192.168.1.3).

  1. It is compulsory to fill in the ‘Note’ field
  2. Insert your IP address that you wish to bind (optional)
  3. Click “Create” to proceed.
Please visit our partner HuobiAPI github https://github.com/huobiapi/API_Docs_en for code references. Step 4) Please complete the SMS, Email & Google Authenticator(GA) security authentication. To generate the security code for SMS and Email, you are required to click the “Send” button. Once you have completed the security authentication, click "Confirm" to proceed. Step 5) When we receive your security authentication, your API "Access Key" and "Secret Key" will pop-up. Click "Confirm" to close the pop-up window. Kindly note that the “Secret Key” will only be visible at this stage. Should you misplace or lose your 'Secret Key”, you will need to create a new API Key. Step 6) You have successfully created an API key with a standard validity of 90 days. You may edit the API key note and bind IP address simply by clicking “Edit”. You may choose to delete the API key by clicking “Delete”.




How do I change my email address?


To change the registered email address, you are required to write in to our support at support@ibankex.io with the following: 1) a selfie with handheld passport/ID 2) active mobile number




How do I find my UID?


Follow the below steps to easily find your UID 1. Log into your iBankEx account 2. Click on “Account & Security”, and you will be able to find your UID.




How do I unlock my account?


There are several reasons why an iBankEx account can be locked either manually or automatically. A. Exceeding the maximum number of failed login attempts. Users are given ten(10) attempts to log in. Thereafter your account will be locked automatically for two(2) hours as a security measure to protect your assets. B. Batch Registration This is considered as spam. The system will automatically lock the account permanently. You may submit an appeal to our support team at support@huobi.pro to unlock your account with the following: 1) a selfie with handheld passport/ID 2) active mobile number 3) reason for batch registration C. Suspicious accounts (Risk of Anti Money Laundering (AML)) This is a permanent ban. To appeal, you may write in to our support at support@huobi.pro with the following: 1) a selfie with handheld passport/ID 2) active mobile number 3) appeal letter D. An order issued by the local authorities To appeal, you may write in to our support at support@ibankex.io with the following: 1) a selfie with handheld passport/ID 2) active mobile number 3) appeal letter E. Self-initiated account freeze You may request to unlock your account by writing in to our support at support@huobi.pro with the following: 1) a selfie with handheld passport/ID 2) active mobile number 3) reason to unlock




How do I set up 2FA using my Email?


To setup your 2FA using your email, kindly refer to the steps as shown below: Step 1) Log into your iBankEx account Step 2) Under your “Profile”, Click on “Account & Security” in the drop down menu as below to get started Step 1) Check the inbox of the email address you used to register a Huobi account with Step 2) Input the Email verification code Step 3) Click “Confirm” to complete the verification Kindly Note:

  • A Green Tickmeans that your Huobi account has been successfully linked to this 2FA method
  • An Exclamation Mark means that this 2FA method has not been linked to your iBankEx account yet
  • If you had registered using Email, Email 2FA method will be automatically linked
  • If you try frequently, but you continue to see pop-ups messages telling you that your 2FA code is wrong after frequent attempts, please synchronize the time of your phone and computer to make sure that they are the same
  • Email verification codes expire after 30 minutes




How do I set up 2FA using my mobile phone?


To setup your 2FA using your mobile phone, kindly refer to the steps as shown below: Step 1) Log into your iBankEx account Step 2) Under your “Profile”, Click on “Account & Security” in the drop down menu as below Step 1) Click on "Link" Step 2) Select Your Country Calling Code Step 3) Input your mobile number Step 4) Click “Click to send” to send your mobile an SMS Code Step 5) Input the SMS Code received and click “Link” Step 6) A Green Tick will be shown upon successful linking of your mobile phone number Kindly Note:

  • A Green Tick means that your Huobi account has been successfully linked to this 2FA method
  • An Exclamation Mark means that this 2FA method has not been linked to your Huobi account yet
  • If you had registered using phone, phone 2FA method will be automatically linked
  • If you try frequently, but you continue to see pop-ups messages telling you that your 2FA code is wrong after frequent attempts, please synchronize the time of your phone and computer to make sure that they are the same
  • SMS verification codes expire after 10 minutes




How do I set up my 2FA using Google Authenticator?


What is Two-factor Authentication (2FA)? Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra security layer to protect your iBankEx user account – designed to ensure that only you who can access your account, even if someone knows your password. With two-factor authentication activated, you will need to provide two pieces of information when you sign into your Huobi account:

  • Your password
  • The 6-digit verification code displayed in your google authenticator app on your mobile
How do I set up my Two-factor Authentication (2FA) using Google Authenticator (GA)? Google Authenticator (GA) is a dynamic password tool that Google built to provide its users with a stronger security layer for their account. After you have successfully linked your Huobi account to the GA app, GA will generate a One-Time Password (OTP) every 30 seconds. This verification code can be used to login, withdrawal, and changing security settings to achieve maximum security for your Huobi account. To link your iBankEx account to your GA app, kindly refer to the steps as shown below: Step 1) Log into your iBankEx account Step 2) Under your “Profile”, Click on “Account & Security” in the drop down menu as below to get started Step 3) Click on "Link" Step 4) Download Google Authenticator (GA) onto phone by clicking on the respective download button links (iOS Users: Apple App Store /Android Users: Google Play) Step 5) Open the GA app on your mobile device, click the “+” icon and choose “Scan a barcode” or “Enter a provided key” to manually input the key words Step 6) Input the new 6-digit GA Code generated into the text field (GA code changes every 30 seconds) Step 7) Click the “Link” button to complete the verification Step 8) Congratulations! Two-Factor Authentication is now successfully enabled on your account. Step 9) After you have successfully set up GA, a GA code (the 6-digit code) will be required for each login or security action. The code changes every 30 seconds. Please remember to only enter the newest code. Kindly Note:
  • A Green Tick means that your iBankEx account has been successfully linked to this 2FA method
  • An Exclamation Mark means that this 2FA method has not been linked to your iBankEx account yet
  • If you had registered using Google Authenticator, Google Authenticator 2FA method will be automatically linked
  • If you try frequently, but you continue to see pop-ups messages telling you that your GA code is wrong after frequent attempts, please synchronize the time of your phone and computer to make sure that they are the same
  • Google Authenticator codes expire after 30 seconds




What happens if you lose your mobile phone?


We highly recommend you to save the Private Key or QR code when you link your GA to your iBankEx account. If your phone is lost, you can still bind the GA to your new phone using the Private Key or QR code. If you forgot to back up the GA Private Key or QR code, please send a photo of you holding your ID and contact phone or email to support@ibankex.io to unlink your GA. You will receive an email after your account has been unlinked. You may then proceed to link a new GA to your iBankEx account.




How do I reset my 2FA?


We understand that from time to time, you may be required to reset your 2FA (eg. lost/new phone). To reset your 2FA please email support@ibankex.io and provide us with the following information:

  • A high-resolution colour selfie photo with you holding a handwritten note that states “iBankEx” and “today’s date” with your Passport/ID (Please do not send separate photos for each item)
  • Note: Make sure your face is clearly visible and that all ID details are clearly readable
